All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:
PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW
WTA BUCHAREST (CLAY):
1. 16:00 – Zhang v Dulgheru –> HOT TIP
Dulgheru is the home favourite here and has played exceptionally well in her most recent clay tournament at Contrexeville in France, beating the likes of Bertens, Dominguez Lino, Pereira and Putintseva.
With Zhang not having any great record on Clay, I have to incline with Dulgheru here..
—> Back Dulgheru @1.3, lay @1.1
WTA SWEDEN (CLAY):
2. 13:00 – Putintseva v Maria
With both head to head on Clay going to Maria, I feel laying the favourite is the right option here.
—> Lay Putintseva @1.8, back @2.6
ATP NEWPORT (GRASS):
3. 17:30 – Harrison v Sugita
There is value in going for Harrison who is used to these courts in Newport. Sugita also played rather poorly at Wimbledon. I feel the American is the right player to go for here.
—> Back Harrison @1.58, lay @1.2
4. 19:30 – Roger-Vasselin v Kavcic
I don’t quite agree with the low odds on Roger-Vasselin whose form has been rather poor this season. With Kavcic putting on a decent show at Wimbledon, I am opting to lay Roger at the start.
—> Lay Roger-Vasselin @1.39, back @1.65
==== SUGGESTING TO KEEP STAKES TO LOW / MEDIUM FOR TODAY ====
Good luck!
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
