All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

ATP MOROCCO (CLAY):

1. 11:00 – Vesely v Bedene

Bedene came through this tournament as a qualifier and has done amazingly well so far.
Eventhough Vesely knocked out Youzhny in 2 sets yesterday, he hasn’t looked his absolute best.

Bedene is priced as the favourite here which might be right..

—> Back Bedene @1.91, lay @1.45

2. 12:45 – Ouhab v Gimeno-Traver —> HOT TIP

The biggest surprise of this tournament has been not just Ouhab’s wins against big favourites, but the manner in which he has done this. Both Haase and an experienced enough Garcia Lopez were simply outclassed from start to finish by the home favourite Ouhab.

Expect Gimeno to have a tough one!

—> Lay Gimeno @1.85, back @3

3. 14:00 – Almagro v Klizan —> HOT TIP

Simply put, Almagro is a veteran clay courter and this could be another two set win for him.

—> Back Almagro @1.32, lay @1.1

WTA KATOWICE:

4. 15:00 – Flipkens v Van Uytvanck

Must say that I’ve been extremely impressed with how Flipkens has played in Katowice thus far. She has been aggressive throughout and has earned the wins. Prefer going with her form and experience against Van Uytvanck.

—> Back Flipkens @1.92, lay @1.4

5. 17:00 – Giorgi v Kulichkova

Kulichkova continues her ultra-impressive run at Katowice with another solid performance as she hammered Kanepi 6-1 6-2.

As well as Giorgi can play, I must go for the in-form player who may indeed get another 2 set win today!

—> Lay Giorgi @1.65, back @2.4

ATP HOUSTON (CLAY):

6. 17:45 – Giraldo v Sock

Sock was just too good against a rather sloppy Agut in his previous match. I feel he may indeed be the right favourite here.

—> Back Sock @1.9, lay @1.55

WTA CHARLESTON (CLAY):

7. 18:00 – Davis v Keys

If Ouhab has been doing it in Morocco, Lauren Davis is the centre of attention in Charleston! She may not have the serve, but she has the power and more importantly the ‘will’ to get through matches and that is precisely what has happened thus far as she blew away Bouchard and Barthel.

If this was a hard court or grass, I would back Keys but Clay offers more opportunity to the underdogs, especially those in form.

Suggesting to lay Keys hence..

—> Lay Keys @1.43, back @1.8

8. 19:30 – Errani v Hradecka

I really do sense an upset here as Hradecka has an amazing serve. Since Errani relies on her defense 90% of the time, this may be far trickier of a match to call unlike the bookies see it.

A very possible 3 setter here!

—> Lay Errani @1.4, back @1.8

9. 21:00 – Kovinic v Petkovic —> HOT TIP

Petkovic is the defending champion at Charleston and is playing like one at the moment. In my opinion Kovinic doesn’t have a chance here against the veteran Petko!

—> Back Petko @1.23, lay @1.06

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.
