Betfair Tennis Trading & Betting Tips: ATP WTA Tuesday 3rd March

Monday’s matches all postponed, so all tips carried over from yesterday! 

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

WTA MONTERREY:

1. 18:00 – Wickmayer v Bacsinszky –> HOT TIP

Backsinszky is coming into this match after winning the Acapulco tournament at Mexico. I must say she gets my tick mark in pretty much every department of the game at the moment with some solid and aggressive tennis.

Considering the Swiss Bacsinszky has taken the last two matches against the Belgian, I am going to go with the favourite here..

—> Back Bacsinszky @1.27, lay @1.1

Normally, I wouldn’t make a HOT TIP so early in the tournament but there are more than enough reasons to deem this one of the HOT TIPS of the day.

2. 18:00 – Larsson v Bertens

Both these girls played in the recent Acapulco tournament. Larsson lost to the eventual winner Bacsinszky, while Kiki Bertens lost to Karatantcheva. Overall, I seen much more promise from the Swede Larsson so going for her to start this match quicker.

3. 18:00 – Garcia v Knapp –> HOT TIP

Garcia put up a decent performance at Acapulco reaching the final only to lose to eventual winner Timea Bacsinszky. I feel she is definitely the right player to back here..

—> Back Garcia @1.51, lay @1.14

Going to make this one a HOT TIP as well as Garcia’s form is decent enough at the moment!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other exchanges – there may be small price differences – but these shouldn’t matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
