Betfair Tennis Trading Tips: ATP WTA Saturday 14th March

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

BNP PARIBAS:

MEN:

1. 19:30 – Kokkinakis v Garcia Lopez –> HOT TIP

These courts are very likely to favour the Spaniard who has had an excellent 2015 already. I disagree with these odds and feel Garcia Lopez should be a big favourite!

—> Back Garcia Lopez @1.75, lay @1.3

2. 19:45 – Cilic v Monaco

Monaco had a decent run at Buenos Aires but that was a clay court tournament. Cilic is coming into this tournament after a bit of a gap but it’s fair to say the US Open champ has always been a decent hard courter. Fancy the Croatian doing better here!

—> Back Cilic @1.75, lay @1.45

I’m suggesting to keep the stakes low to medium here.

WOMEN:

3. 18:00 – Lisicki v Vinci

Lisicki’s form coming into this tournament has been really poor! Considering Vinci knocked out Gajdosova who has had some decent wins this year already, I am inclined to lay the German here.

—> Lay Lisicki @1.95, back @2.6

If Lisicki wins the first set, immediately lay her as this one has the potential to go to a decider which could very well end up in favour of the Italian.

4. 19:30 – Hercog v Garcia –> HOT TIP

Garcia’s form has been incredibly good losing only to Bacsinszky in both the Monterrey and Acapulco finals. It’s also worth noting that she absolutely hammered Ivanovic in reaching one of those finals.

Definitely agreeing with the odds here and I feel there is enough value for the French girl.

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Help and Advice: Tennis Trading Tip – Successful or not?

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other exchanges – there may be small price differences – but these shouldn’t matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
