Betfair Tennis Trading Tips: ATP WTA Saturday 21st February

tennis ballThese tips are published when all have been played – in order to get today’s tips, join by clicking here and I’ll mail them to you!!

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

WTA DUBAI:

1. 15:00 – Pliskova v Halep

Interesting that these two have never faced each other before!

After losing the first set to Wozniacki in her previous match, Simona came back strongly to thrash the Dane.

However, the giant killer of this tournament has been Pliskova with wins over Pavlyuchenkova, Strycova, Ivanovic, Safarova and Muguruza. That’s 5 decent hard court players!

If it goes to a 3rd set, this one could end up being another flip of a coin. However, at the start, I fancy favouring the Czech who is stepping up her game when it really matters..

—> Lay Halep @1.39, back @1.8

ATP OPEN 13:

2. 13:30 – Monfils v Agut

Monfils looks back in form as he beat the giant killer, Italian, Bolelli. Also, he holds a 2-0 record against Agut, both of which were played on hard courts, the most recent one, a week back.

Considering the Spaniard has yet to take a set of Gael, I’m sticking with the favourite here!

—> Back Monfils @1.51, lay @1.2

My advice would be to keep the stakes to low or medium for today…

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other exchanges – there may be small price differences – but these shouldn’t matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
If you’re unsure about what liquidity is required, see question 17 on my FAQ section at http://tennis-trading-league.com/faq/
