18:00 – Serena Williams v Suarez Navarro –> BACK HEAVY
It’s a surprise that the Spaniard Suarez Navarro has reached the final of this year’s Miami final. Against Aga Radwanska, she had to come back after losing the 1st set. Also she could have easily lost to Venus Williams in another great comeback win.
But credit to her, she made this far.
This match is going to be easy to call not simply because Serena is a huge favourite but because of their head to head history.
The American leads 4-0 but it’s not just this fact that come into play. It’s the manner in which Navarro got beaten.
Not only has Navarro not won a set against Serena, she has been bagelled 4 times!! To add to the misery, Serena has even double-bagelled (6-0 6-0 score) the Spaniard at the 2013 US Open.
Simply putting, Navarro just doesn’t have the serve or the power to beat the World no.1. There is more than enough value for backing Serena here so I’m opting for a Back Heavy as I can’t see an upset tomorrow!
—> BACK HEAVY Serena @1.13, lay @1.03
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
