PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW
1. 20:00 – Nishikori v Isner
Interesting that these two have never faced each other.
Nishikori is yet to lose a set in Miami and looks pretty good.
However, it’s fair to say that Isner has had a very good tournament as well, as he beat Dimitrov and Raonic.
With serves going to be a huge factor tomorrow for Nishi, I am going to favour John Isner here in a match that could go the distance.
—> Lay Nishikori @1.42, back @1.85
2. 18:00 – Navarro v Petkovic —> HOT TIP
Navarro sneaked past a disoriented Venus Williams who should have really killed that match.
Petkovic had no issues and, as predicted, came through with a very solid performance against big serving Karolina Pliskova.
I definitely disagree with the bookies here and feel another 2 set win for Petko is not an impossible task by any means.
—> Lay Navarro @1.79, back @2.64
Due to the current impressive form of Petkovic, I have made this a HOT TIP!
3. 02:00 – Serena v Halep
There were many reasons not to tip Serena yesterday as I felt Lisicki could be a major threat and in fact it turned out to be exactly that. The German should have closed out the first set having served for it, and ran away with the 2nd set. We could have seen a different semi final here.
Overall, I was more impressed with Simona Halep out of these two players, especially after her super performance against Sloane Stephens where at one point she looked unplayable.
My advice is therefore to Lay Serena in what could be the best match of the tournament in terms of quality.
—> Lay Serena @1.42, back @1.75
Again, bear in mind, there are risks associated with laying Serena here so suggesting to keep the stakes low or medium.
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
