All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

BNP PARIBAS:

MEN:

1. 18:00 – Haase v Rosol

Before this tournament started, I felt these courts at Indian Wells would favour three players (apart from the big 3!). They were Andy Murray, David Ferrer and Stan Wawrinka.

Robin Haase knocked out Stan in a huge shock in his last match and is the right favourite here.

—> Back Haase @1.83, lay @1.4

2. 19:30 – Agut v Sock

Agut may indeed be the right favourite here as his game is very suited to these slow paced courts. However, I can’t ignore the fact that Sock knocked out two excellent hard courters in Lu and Muller. I’m going to lay the favourite.

—> Lay Agut @1.36, back @1.75

3. 22:30 – Dimitrov v Robredo

Head to head is shared 1-1 between these two and rightly so, as Robredo got the clay court match and Dimitrov, the hard court.

I am favouring Dimitrov here as he had the tougher opponent in the first round through Kyrgios while Robredo needed 3 sets to knock out a much weaker opponent in Golubev.

A possible 3 setter but prefer going for the favourite at the start!

—> Back Dimitrov @1.43, lay @1.25

WOMEN:

4. 18:00 – Navarro v Watson

For the third match in a row Watson remains the underdog. I do agree with Navarro being the favourite but feel these odds are too low and must be laid.

—> Lay Navarro @1.4, back @1.9

5. 23:00 – Svitolina v Bacsinszky —> HOT TIP

I have tipped Svitolina in a few matches this year. But today I must go against that, as Bacsinszky is the lady of the moment.

I had suggested to lay Makarova in her last match, and it proved right in the end.
Even with Svitolina’s performance against Safarova, I feel she has less chance to beat the hot streak of the favourite here.

Overall, I feel Bacsinszky is the player to go for today!

—> Back Bacsinszky @1.75, lay @1.35

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
