WTA OPEN GDF SUEZ DE LIMOGES:

1. 12:00 – Barbieri v Van Uytvanck

Head to head between these two is tied at 1 each with Barbieri winning the hard court affair. However, I feel Van Uytvanck has the better overall game here. Recently, she has beaten Voegele in 2 sets and also took both the experienced Schiavone and a tough Karolina Pliskova to 3 sets. Overall, I think she has had tougher opponents in the past few months which makes her the right favourite here..

Back Van @1.6, lay @1.3

2. 15:00 – Konjuh v Beck

Beck is enjoying one of her best career seasons winning her first title in Luxembourg recently, beating the experienced Czech, Zalavova-Strycova in brutal fashion, 6-2 6-1.

Not only did she beat some good players there, but it’s worth noting, she won the whole tourney without losing a set. For me she’s definitely on the rise here and good enough to knock out the less experienced Croatian, Konjuh.
