PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

WTA OPEN GDF SUEZ DE LIMOGES:

1. 15:30 – Dodin v Mladenovic

Both have played well so far at Limoges without losing a set. Indeed, this one could be a tight one to call. However, due to her recent form, Dodin is definitely a good enough bet here so I’m fancying the markets to side her at some point in the first set.

TO LAY:

Lay Mladenovic @1.97, back @2.5

2. 17:00 – Smitkova v Schiavone

What was most impressive about Smitkova in this tournament has been her serves. As well as Schiavone can play on hard courts, I do wonder if time is against her as she did look rather poor against Schmiedlova for most part of the first set and was lucky to survive that challenge. Another tight one to call but I do feel Smitkova has enough talent to knock out the Italian veteran.

TO LAY:

Lay Schiavone @1.86, back @2.3

FED CUP FINALS : CZECH REPUBLIC V GERMANY

3. 12:00 – Kvitova v Petkovic –> HOT TIP

Interesting stat here is that Petkovic actually leads Kvitova in head to head, 4-3. Amazingly, there hasn’t been one 3 setter between these two.

The odds are heavily favouring the Czech who I do feel is the right favourite. Petra has simply some of the best serves in WTA and I don’t see Petkovic having much of a chance here eventhough she did well in Bulgaria recently. Unfortunately for the German, Kvitova is a serious top 10 player and always delivers for the big matches.

Overall, this is going to be a major challenge for Petko to beat Kvitova on her home soil in Prague!

Back Kvitova @1.29, lay @1.07

4. 13:30 – Safarova v Kerber

Two lefties who I’ve always enjoyed watching!

There has only been one match between these two which was in 2012 which Kerber took in 2 sets. This makes the H2H stat slightly irrelevant as Safarova has had some amazing runs in Grandslams since then and moreover, has never been an easy player to win against!

If Germany are to have any chance in this Fed Cup, Kerber must simply win. I’m suggesting to back the German who is just about a favourite in this tight to call match that may very well go all the way!

Back Kerber @1.95, lay @1.6

Suggesting to keep the stakes low at the start as it’s very likely that the first set could end up as a nail-biter.

Good luck!
