All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

ATP BARCELONA (CLAY):

1. 11:30 – Nishikori v Agut –> HOT TIP

Kei Nishikori is the defending champion of Barcelona and is really playing like one at the moment. His last match was against a tricky Giraldo whom he hammered 6-2 6-1. Agut, though not losing a set yet, had a tough match against Cuevas and is likely to feel the wrath of Nishi’s power today.

—> Back Nishi @1.22, lay @1.08

2. 13:15 – Klizan v Robredo

I must admit, Klizan has been the Comeback Kid on clay for the past few weeks. The phrase ‘give up’ doesn’t seem to be in his vocabulary!

I feel there is a chance he can shock Robredo here, so suggesting to lay the favourite.

—> Lay Robredo @1.5, back @1.9

Keep the stakes low here..

3. 16:45 – Andujar v Fognini

Fognini was pretty pathetic against Rublev where he could have lost the match in 2 sets. Against, Nadal though, he was just on another level and played with pure aggression shocking the home crowd.

If he can be this consistent again, there is no reason why he can’t win this match against another home favourite, Pablo Andujar.

—> Back Fognini @1.57, lay @1.2

ATP BRD NASTASE OPEN (CLAY):

4. 11:45 – Garcia Lopez v Rosol —> HOT TIP

After his good run at the start of the season, Garcia Lopez had looked rather off recently. However, he seem to be finding his form at the right time in this clay court season.

Suggesting to back him here..

—> Back Garcia Lopez @1.6, lay @1.3

5. 13:30 – Simon v Gimeno-Traver

Simon is the right favourite to win this tournament in my opinion. His recent 3 losses comes at the hands of tough players like Nadal and Ferrer. Overall, the guy has been consistent so suggesting to go for him.

—> Back Simon @1.3, lay @1.14

6. 15:15 – Bolelli v Monfils

I think there is an upset possible here as Bolelli has been playing rather well throughout this season. On the contrary, you just never know which Monfils turns up on the day.

Eitherways, I feel these odds are too low on Monfils so suggesting to lay him.

—> Lay Monfils @1.3, back @1.75

WTA STUTTGART (CLAY):

7. 14:30 – Navarro v Wozniacki

I disagree with these odds as Navarro should be made slight favourite here due to her overall performances this season.

Definitely suggesting to lay Wozniacki today.

Also, worth pointing out that Navarro won the only clay court match these two have played. It back in 2013, but happened to be this same tournament at Stuttgart!

—> Lay Wozniacki @1.8, back @2.6

8. 17:30 – Kerber v Makarova

I did predict an upset yesterday for Sharapova and the German did exactly that!
Amazingly, Kerber is on an 8 game win streak and more importantly unbeaten this season on Clay! I think the bookies are right in making her favourite today against a very tricky Russian, Makarova.

—> Back Kerber @1.55, lay @1.23

9. 19:00 – Brengle v Garcia

Brengle beat a sloppy looking Kvitova yesterday, but I feel Garcia is the right favourite today as she has played on another level here at Stuttgart.

Suggesting to back her..

—> Back Garcia @1.46, lay @1.25

The first set could be slightly tricky here so suggesting to reduce stakes …

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.
