Yesterday’s game was just amazing. The Swiss lad proved that everyone was badly mistaken when predicting his career’s downfall!
I was watching the match and made some profits when Murray broke in the second set, but most of the times I was just fascinated by Roger’s performance. Murray was the closest of any British man trying to win a Grand Slam since 1936, but the Swiss just annihilated his hopes. Despite Murray’s brilliant defensive play Federer was just unstoppable.
As he said later on: “I played great, you know. I felt like I was invincible for a while again, and that’s exactly how you want to finish a tournament.”
Just a few stats about Federer.
He won five consecutive US Open titles. He’s become the first player in tennis history to win two Grand Slam tournaments five years straight. And he’s won 16 Grand Slam titles overall! He has smashed Pete Sampras’ record of 14!
It’s a great time to be a tennis fan – Nadal, Murray, Federer, Djokovic. It’s a truly Golden age of tennis. To see Federer’s dominance overtaken by Nadal, who in turn had been recently outclassed by Djokovic. Amazing. Not only do I get to watch great tennis and monumental moments in sports history, I also get to make my living from watching it!
Some days I just feel blessed! If you want to experience the same, read this to find out how I do it, and how anyone can do the same!
Take care,
Paddy.
