Usually the ladies tennis is more predictable than mens matches. For example, if a player loses the first set, you’ll see more men being able to win more games in the second set than women.

However, I don’t leave womens tournaments just because of this reason. Not at all!
I’ll show you now how I made easy 32 euro on a match between Azarenka and Radwanska at the Porsche Grand Prix tennis tournament in Germany.

Azarenka had won the first set of the match and many punters would say that she was a sure bet at that moment at the odds of 1.3. However, you always have to keep in mind that there are no such things as sure bets when it comes to gambling!

Using the same gamblers’ language I’d rather say that Radwanska was a very good value bet and very soon I could spot the right moment to take the advantage of it.

I layed Azarenka off at the odds of 1.31 – simply because there was almost no money to take at the other player. As you can see now, I’m 31 euro short should Azarenka win the match.

This was a tennis match in Beijing Open Quarterfinals between Andy Roddick and Juan Carlos Ferrero. Andy Roddick was the favourite player with current ATP rank of 8. Ferrero, on the contrary, is ranked 48 and was this match’s underdog.

However, as it sometimes happens in tennis, clear favourites don’t always win the first set of the match. And clever Betfair tennis traders like me (LOL!) can exploit the ensuing price movements to their benefit!

Trading on the Commonwealth Bank Tennis Classic tournament in Bali, Indonesia, I was experimenting a little bit on some matches. You know – to refine tennis trading strategies and come up with new ideas you have to constantly look for something new.

Had I stuck with what I new half year ago, I’d never be as successful Betfair tennis trader as I am now! Back then I was mostly scalping the matches, but that approach requires strong nerves and a whole lot of a dedication.

Besides – some matches are impossible to scalp due to the time lag on Eurosport. So during the non-qualifying matches I was trying to spot other trends which would lead me to revealing new ways to profit from Betfair tennis trading.

In this example I backed the favourite Schnyder at the odds of 1.83 as she broke in the ninth game of the match. I could have layed her off right after that – as her odds shortened to 1.6. But I decided to see how she performs in the next game.

Using the Tennis Trading League System’s scalping methods it’s crucial to watch the match on TV as you just have to see the point is being scored. You’re even ahead of the bots scanning the market and applying algorithms depending on how the price moves.

But even if you don’t use these scalping methods and trade long term – it’s always useful to see the match live and get into the “feel” of the game.

By seeing the actual players in action – even if you’re not too much into tennis – will give you the edge over those who approach the tennis trading as a numbers game.
