What’s The Proper Staking Plan?

This is one of the most frequent questions I’m asked – Paddy, what stakes should I be using when trading tennis on Betfair?
Watch this video and you’ll get your answers!
As you can imagine, trading staking plans differ between professional Betfair traders and novices. You just can’t start operating with 100 pound stakes right after you’ve opened your Betfair account – well actually you can, but it’s not a good idea!
No matter how safe the whole trading process may seem to you, you definitely need to develop your trading technical skills first and then increase the stakes.
And don’t forget – do it gradually! Example – so far you’ve been trading using 20 pound stakes. When you feel confident enough, increase the average stake amount to 30 pounds. Increase your stakes by £5/10 at a time and only when you’re confident. Using high stakes requires a nerve, and you can develop this special skill only by practicing.
Another thing – once you’re following a particular strategy using a certain stake level, don’t change it too frequently over time. For the tennis trading strategy to work long-term you need to use a constant stake.
Otherwise you can have a situation when you incur loss trading with a hundred pounds and make profit from a 20 pound stakes. Result – an overall negative balance. Something that we, Betfair traders, are not here for, are we? Maximise profits and minimise losses – that’s what Tennis Trading is all about.
Talk to you soon,
Paddy
