FORM AND GAME COMPARISON:
Form of both players is very similar with 7 wins in their previous 10 matches played. The head to head also read a 1-1 tie with Allertova taking the clay court encounter and Konta winning the hard court battle.
Neither player has lost a set so far at Indian Wells as Allertova beat Cetkovska in the 1st round quite easily and more importantly, caused a major upset by knocking out the Australian Open Champ Kerber in the next match. Konta meanwhile, thrashed Brengle 6-4 6-0.
Game wise, both are playing very aggressive Tennis at the moment. However, Konta is the better server and therefore has the overall edge.
GENERAL UNFOLDING SCENARIO:
Can’t quite see a loss for Konta as she was awe-inspiring in quality against a very tough Brengle in the previous match. If she can play with the same sort of flow, this match could be done and dusted in 2 comfortable sets.
In a nutshell, I am counting on Konta’s serves to click today and be the major difference between these two players.
Suggesting to stake 3% of your bank by BACKing the favourite at the start and LAYing at odds of 1.25.
DELAY AND TRADE is no
TRADING STRATEGY:
Primary scenario:
t recommended to fetch better BACK prices on Konta as she could very well run away with the first set.
Your potential profit is approximately 28% of the stake.
Worst case scenario:
As mentioned earlier, Allertova did beat Kerber in 2 sets in her previous match. If Konta ends up losing the 1st set, your advice is to back the Brit at odds of 3 with your remaining 1% stake.
If Konta forces a decider from a set down, I suggest trading out with your achieved profits before the final set begins.
As always any profits of 20-25% is good to trade out!
ANALYSIS
A slow start for Konta but once she got into a rhythm our strategy was quite easily successful.
The Brit won comfortably in the end with an eventual scoreline 6-4 6-1.
