FORM AND GAME COMPARISON:

Interesting to note that while both players have won 7 of their last 10 matches, Kerber has hardly played any tournaments since the Australian Open. In fact, the German ended up losing in the 1st rounds of both WTA Doha and Indian Wells to lesser known players S.Zheng and Allertova.

Strycova on the other hand, was a finalist at Dubai, and also played well at Indian Wells, eventually losing to an in-form Simona Halep.

Game wise, both are quite different players.
Strycova probably has the advantage of serve but is also an extremely good defensive player. Kerber who is quite good defensively, relies more on power shots and endurance. If there is one similarity, it would be the fact that both ladies are excellent returners of serve.

GENERAL UNFOLDING SCENARIO:

The first set is going to be crucial for either player.If Kerber takes it, I would go for the German winning in a deciding set match. On the other hand, a 2 set win for Strycova looks more likely.

TRADING STRATEGY:

Primary scenario:

In a nutshell, I am depending on Strycova’s return of serve ability here. The reason I think we are going to hit our target is also the fact that Kerber’s form has depreciated a lot since the Australian Open. Her serves look weaker and she doesn’t seem to have the same motivation. Also, Strycova is a no-nonsense player and therefore would be a good bet to capitalize on the German’s weaknesses.

Suggesting to invest 2% of your bank at the start by laying the German at the beginning and backing her at odds of 2.2. While high stakes can be considered for this tip, medium stakes would be my recommendation.
