PLAYER COMPARISON:

Current form is definitely favouring the Russian Kasatkina but it’s fair to say she didn’t have a lot of tough opponents to face recently. Suarez Navarro on the other hand, hasn’t had a lot going for since the Grass season, but she did put on a decent show in her most recent tourney at Beijing, losing only to eventual runner-up Timea Bacsinszky in 3 sets.

While Kasatkina possesses some decent power and serves, this would be the first time she faces Navarro. That fact is more likely to be a huge advantage for the Spaniard. who dismissed Cibulkova quite convincingly in the previous match. Simply put, aggression alone is not going to get the job done against Navarro as she is an exceptional defensive player who has some seriously good backhand shots to turn defense into attack.

GENERAL UNFOLDING SCENARIO:

Overall, I expect Kasatkina to have a tough match in facing the vastly experienced Suarez Navarro. A quick 2 set win for the Spaniard has to be on the cards today!

TRADING STRATEGY:

Primary scenario:

While form is against Navarro, a good show at this tournament is absolutely vital if she is going to qualify for the WTA Tour Finals at Singapore. With Safarova getting knocked out early to Pavlyuchenkova, and Navarro beating Cibulkova in the earlier match (in 2 sets), backing the favourite seems the right trade here.

While I do feel confident about Navarro’s performance, I am heavily relying on her determination to qualify for Singapore, even with her recent form. Therefore, I am going to be safe and suggest investing only low stakes here.

As per the tip, Back Navarro with a 1% stake and lay her @1.2.
Delaying the trade to fetch better back prices isn’t recommended today.

Your potential profit is close to 25% of the stake.

Worst case scenario:

If indeed Kasatkina starts well and goes on to break Navarro early, back your remaining stake at a price of 2.5 on the Spaniard. Considering what the stakes are for this match, it is logical to assume Navarro fighting back from any situation today.

If you have fetched close to 20% profit before the deciding set is played, I suggest trading out the market.

Good Luck!

ANALYSIS

Unfortunately, Suarez Navarro got blown away in an absolute shocking display of Tennis.

Simply put, Navarro’s body language was poor from the very first game and there was no sign of anything positive happening. Well played to Kasatkina as she thoroughly deserved this win and could emerge as a future star from Russia by the looks of it!

This tip proves why it’s important to stick to the recommended stakes.
Disappointing loss, but I’m sure we will have another decent win streak very soon.
