Hi Patrick,
I often struggle with exit strategy, so I’d like to know how you did trading in Cilic v Zeballos match as Cilic broke Zeballos’s serve twice in the first three games and his odds never went over 1.33. At which point did you trade out? Was it after first or second brake of serve, or later? Also, did you get back to trading in that match again and who did you back/lay?
Thank you for your help.
Silvana
Hi Silvana
The Cilic match was a very tough one to trade due to the way the match went.
I would indeed have had to trade this out @ 3-0 early on in Cilic’s
favour as Zeballos’ serve looked terrible at the start. I couldn’t
trade this match yesterday but if I was doing it, I would leave it to
see how the match went in the 2nd. I would have given a lay price of
1.01 or 1.02 anyways to reduce my losses which would have got matched.
Remember there is no problem in giving a 1.01 – 1.03 range price in
advance to reduce your losses because the risk is almost nil to lay at
that price! So next time give a lay price in advance in such
situations anyways, especially on Clay as guys tend to get broken more
on this surface…
Good luck for the future!
