Betfair Tennis Trading Tips: ATP WTA Friday 20th March

BNP PARIBAS:

MEN:

1. 19:00 – Berdych v Federer –> HOT TIP

Since his shock loss to Seppi at the Australian Open, Federer has won 8 matches in a row without losing a set! This included a win against Djokovic at Dubai.

Overall, I am confident on Roger putting on a good show against Berdych who didn’t look his absolute best against Rosol in the last match.

—> Back Federer @1.44, lay @1.16

2. 21:00 – Raonic v Nadal –> HOT TIP

These courts at Indian Wells is extremely well suited to Rafa Nadal’s game due to the slower pace. Moreover, Nadal’s form has been very impressive so far, beating a very improved Simon in his last match by a score of 6-2 6-4.

Neither player has lost a set so far in the tournament but Nadal is yet to lose a match against Raonic as he leads 5-0!

Overall, I have to go for the favourite here who is finding some past form on hard courts.

WOMEN:

3. 01:00 – Jankovic v Lisicki

Head to head favours Jankovic 4-1 with all 4 of those wins coming in deciding sets. By current form, I feel Lisicki must be given a lot of credit, especially for coming through an epic against Flavia Pennetta in the previous match.

A very likely fluctuating first set, so favouring to lay Janko..

—> Lay Jankovic @1.95, back @2.65

4. 03:00 – Serena v Halep –> HOT TIP

Though Serena has lost only 1 set so far in the tournament, she has had some really tough matches against Niculescu and Bacsinszky. However, now that she has made it to the Semi Finals, I feel she is more likely to step up a gear and win this one comfortably!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Help and Advice: Tennis Trading Tip – Successful or not?

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other exchanges – there may be small price differences – but these shouldn’t matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
