All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

1. 11:00 – Troicki v Garcia Lopez —> HOT TIP

One of the most impressive outsiders in the recent Aussie Open was Garcia Lopez. In the match against Wawrinka in the 4th round, he was making some huge shots and had he taken at least one of his set points in the 4th set, that match could have easily gone to a decider and I wouldn’t have been too surprised if he caused an upset.

That match alone is a huge statement to his current form and I am going to give him a good chance here to knock out the Serb Troicki!

—> Lay Troicki @1.48, back @2.8

2. 17:45 – Granollers v Sijsling

Granollers has already knocked out two really tough hard court players in Melzer and home favourite Dodig. With Sijsling generally relying more on his serves, I am going to pick the Spaniard to start better due to his overall variety in the game.

—> Back Grano @1.58, lay @1.2

3. 17:00 – Montanes v Bellucci

Bellucci is coming into this match after beating home favourite Lapentti and Zeballos in two deciding 3 setters. Montanes on the other hand, outplayed the favourite Colombian Giraldo in his previous match and thoroughly deserved to win that match in 2 sets.

I just feel Monta is the right man to go here and even if this is to go to a decider, I would back myself on the Spaniard.

—> Lay Bellucci @1.64, back @2.4

4. 18:45 – Klizan v Burgos –> HOT TIP

Burgos has really had no big challenges coming into this match while Klizan beat a very decent Gimeno Traver in his previous match. These two have never faced each other so with overall experience, I must choose the Slovak to shine here..

—> Back Klizan @1.5, lay @1.2

5. 18:00 – Gasquet v Istomin —> HOT TIP

Home favourite, Richard Gasquet has a 4-1 head to head lead over the Uzbek Istomin. I am very much inclined in going for the Frenchman here due to his overall experience!

—> Back Gasquet @1.29, lay @1.07

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
