PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW
MUTUA MADRID OPEN:
1. 16:15 – Berdych v Isner
Berdych holds a 6-2 Head to head advantage against Isner. Interestingly, all 3 matches on Clay went to Berdych.
A lot of reason to believe that the Czech Berdych is the right tip here as he has had a decent year already…
Suggesting to back the favourite..
—> Back Berdych @1.3, lay @1.14
2. 19:00 – Raonic v Murray –> HOT TIP
Andy has won his first Clay court title this year which is a brilliant achievement right before the French Open. He has played pretty well at Madrid so far, fancying him to knock out the big serving Raonic today..
—> Back Murray @1.57, lay @1.2
3. 20:45 – Ferrer v Nishikori
Head to head reads a 7-4 advantage to Kei Nishikori here. The only clay court match also went to Kei who won at last year’s Madrid Open which ended up as a tough 3 setter.
As well as Nishikori has been playing, I feel Ferrer is still a tough player for anyone to beat at his backyard. Suggesting to lay Nishikori here but keep the stakes low..
—> Lay Nishi @1.45, back @1.7

Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
