PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW
WTA NOTTINGHAM:
1. 11:00 – Konjuh v Vickery (SAME TIP AS YESTERDAY)
Ana Konjuh has looked dominant in both her previous matches. I agree that she should be a good favourite here. Definitely suggesting to back her in this match..
—> Back Konjuh @1.32, lay @1.14
WTA TOPSHELF:
2. 13:30 – Giorgi v Bertens
I predicted Bertens to do well yesterday and indeed she stormed to a 2 set victory over a very talented Vandeweghe.
So far, Giorgi has had two 3 setters while Bertens blew away her opponents.
Definitely suggesting to lay Giorgi here..However, do keep the stakes low to medium as this is likely to be more of a tricky encounter.
–> Lay Giorgi @1.73, back @2.24
ATP TOPSHELF:
3. 11:30 – Haase v Mahut
Haase’s good run at home could very likely come to an end today as Mahut has played awesome tennis so far. The odds seem right in my opinion.
—> Back Mahut @1.45, lay @1.18
ATP STUTTGART:
4. 12:30 – Rafael Nadal v Monfils –> HOT TIP
Suprisingly, with 12 matches played between these two, not one has been on Grass court.
With the pace of grass, I would generally suggest to lay Nadal here just as I did yesterday. However, I must admit, he has played pretty well so far even though he was pushed the distance in both matches.
This could be a rejuvenation of Rafa on Grass, just in time for Wimbledon..
—> Back Nadal @1.53, lay @1.2
5. 15:00 – Troicki v Cilic
A really tough match for Cilic yesterday as Mischa Zverev pushed him all the way. However, the Croatian stepped up at crucial times and showed why he’s a Grand Slam winner.
I am suggesting to go for the right favourite here..
–> Back Cilic @1.53, lay @1.25
Good luck!
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
