All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

1. 10:00 – Kvitova v Begu

Kvitova beat Begu in the recent Madrid Open which she eventually ended up winning. Since then, her form has certainly dipped.
Worth noting also that both her previous matches were 3 set wins while Begu hammered her opponents.

I can definitely see a possible upset here, hence suggesting to lay Kvitova..

—> Lay Kvitova @1.49, back @1.9

2. 10:00 – Petkovic v Errani

Petkovic leads the head to head 2-1 where all 3 matches were played on Clay. Considering Errani is a former finalist here and has generally played well on Clay this season, I am suggesing to lay Petko here.

—> Lay Petko @1.84, back @2.3

3. 12:00 – Falconi v Goerges —> HOT TIP

Goerges beating Wozniacki in 2 sets was definitely not on the cards for this year’s French Open. Credit to her, she played some amazing tennis in that match and also knocked out a very tricky Vandeweghe in the 1st round. While Falconi is by no means an easy task, I still feel the German is more likely to start better.

—> Back Goerges @1.39, lay @1.18

4. 15:30 – Pironkova v Stephens

Both players have knocked out their opponents in 2 sets successively. While Stephens definitely is the better server, I do think Pironkova is the player with more variety in her game.
A possible upset on the cards here..

—> Lay Stephens @1.3, back @1.7

5. 15:30 – Serena v Azarenka (NOT COUNTED FOR STATS)

I feel the first set is pretty hard to call here so my simple advice is to lay the 1st set winner, especially if Azarenka ends up winning it.

This tip won’t be counted for stats sake and is just a general advice for this really mouthwatering match in the Women’s Draw.

If I were to give an opinion, I would suggest laying Serena here at the start, but I must admit, there are risks associated with it.

Nevertheless, a 3 set thriller looks a good possibility..

7. 13:30 – Sock v Coric

No doubt Sock’s form is pretty good. But for me, Coric’s comeback win from the brink of defeat against Robredo is just too hard to ignore.

I am going to suggest laying Sock here as serves alone won’t get the job done against this young talent from Croatia!

—> Lay Sock @1.51, back @2.2

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.
