Betfair Tennis Trading Tips: ATP WTA Thursday 19th March

BNP PARIBAS:

MEN:

1. 20:00 – Murray v Lopez

Andy Murray has played Lopez 10 times and surprisingly hasn’t lost a single match. This may go to Murray in straight sets but Lopez knocking out Nishikori in 2 sets was a real shock.

Overall, eventhough Andy is amazing on the defensive side, I do feel he has more work to do on his serves if he is to smoothly sail in this match. Prefer to lay him here but suggesting to keep the stakes low.

2. 02:00 – Djokovic v Tomic

Simply put, I just can’t see the world number 1 losing to Tomic eventhough the latter has played his part in this tournament.

Odds of 1.07 for me, has value on the favourite today!

WOMEN:

3. 18:00 – Tsurenko v Jankovic

Tsurenko had an amazing comeback match against big firing Eugenie Bouchard previously. Personally I don’t think she deserves to be in this round as Bouchard had her injury issues, but at the same time, she must be credited for her very good wins over Cornet, Petkovic and Beck who are all pretty good hard court players.

This match could be all about who serves better. For me Tsurenko has impressed me in that category so suggesting to lay Jankovic.

4. 00:00 – Lisicki v Pennetta

Lisicki has performed alright so far but it’s worth noting that she had weaker opponents compared to Flavia Pennetta.

Pennetta is the defending champion here and is certainly playing like one after knocking out Sharapova in her previous match.

I feel backing the favourite is the right strategy here!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Help and Advice: Tennis Trading Tip – Successful or not?

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other exchanges – there may be small price differences – but these shouldn’t matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
