PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW
ATP MONTE CARLO (CLAY):
1. 09:30 – Wawrinka v Monaco
I feel there is good enough reason laying Stan here as this could easily be a tough match for him against Monaco who is playing some of his best tennis at the moment. Also Monaco being a clay courter gives more reason to back him here.
—> Lay Wawrinka @1.44, back @1.75
2. 11:15 – Simon v Paire
Simon has been playing pretty well this year and even though Paire leads him in head to head terms, I must go the favourite here.
—> Back Simon @1.42, lay @1.2
This could be a potential 3 setter so consider laying the 1st set winner.
3. 14:45 – Tsonga v Goffin
I do feel Goffin can be a threat to Tsonga today and it’s a 50/50 call, just as Betfair prices say. Suggesting to lay Tsonga here, but better to trade this with low stakes..
—> Lay Tsonga @1.96, back @2.6
WTA CLARO OPEN:
4. 16:30 – Pfizenmaier v Falconi
The American Falconi has definitely stepped up her game since the Australian Open. Considering she hammered Cirstea in the previous match, I fancy her to do better here..
—> Back Falconi @1.66, lay @1.25
5. 17:00 – Pereira v Minella –> HOT TIP
I expected Pereira to play good tennis against Schiavone but didn’t see her putting such an amazing performance as she blew away the Italian in 2 sets. Definitely fancying Pereira here..
—> Back Pereira @1.32, lay @1.14
6. 20:00 – Haddad Maia v Dominguez Lino
The Brazilian Haddad Maia is under-rated here in my opinion.
Recently at Rio de Janeiro, she played some amazing tennis against Clay court specialist Sara Errani, where she had match points and should have really won in 2 sets. I feel Dominguez will have to work for the win today!
—> Lay Dominguez @1.4, back @1.9
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
