Betfair Tennis Trading Tips: ATP WTA Wednesday 22nd April

These tips are published when all have been played – in order to get today’s tips, join by clicking here and I’ll mail them to you!!

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

ATP BARCELONA (CLAY):

1. 10:00 – Andujar v Mayer

Mayer hasn’t played a match since his loss to Kevin Anderson at Miami. Andujar though, played at Morocco and more importantly beat Ramos rather convincingly yesterday. Suggesting to lay Mayer here..

—> Lay Mayer @1.85, back @2.5

2. 11:45 – Monaco v Klizan

Klizan’s win at Morocco for me was a bit of a fluke as he could have been easily knocked out in the early rounds. Monaco however, has stepped up his game and though he lost to Wawrinka at Monte Carlo, is the right bet for me here.

—> Back Monaco @1.51, lay @1.2

ATP BRD NASTASE OPEN:

3. 11:45 – Garcia Lopez v Baghdatis

I thought Baghdatis was amazingly good against Steve Darcis in his previous match. Since Garcia’s form hasn’t been that good, this is definitely worth a lay!

—> Lay Garcia @1.45, back @1.9

WTA PORSCHE GRAND PRIX:

4. 13:00 – Lisicki v Diyas —> HOT TIP

Considering her form and the fact that this is her home tourney, I am more than confident that Lisicki is going to win today.

—> Back Lisicki @1.33, lay @1.17

5. 17:30 – Goerges v Bencic

Bencic has won 3 of her previous 5 matches while Goerges has lost 4. I agree with these odds and feel Bencic is the right player to back today.

—> Back Bencic @1.85, lay @1.5

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other exchanges – there may be small price differences – but these shouldn’t matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
If you’re unsure about what liquidity is required, see question 17 on my FAQ section at https://tennis-trading-league.com/faq/
