Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other sites – there may be small price differences – but these should not matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
If you’re unsure about what liquidity is required, see question 17 on my FAQ section at https://tennis-trading-league.com/faq/

Not sure about the Monfils v Fognini both of these guys can be so flaky that it could go either way at the beginning, I fancy Fognini in 3 sets here. Haas v Nishikori is another tricky one, although I think the tip should work because Nishikori seems to be a better starter, both of these guys had injuries in the last 3 weeks, so it could be tricky.

Also, I don’t know much about the WTA but laying Cibulkova v Makarova seems like a bit of a risk, perhaps you know more about the way these two start their matches or injury issue, but Cibulkova has been winning a lot of straight set matches recently, I guess I am loosing confidence in some of these tips due to a recent bad streak.

Well, looks like Fognini is up 2 breaks in the first, luckily I went with my gut on this one and greened up:) Monfils is looking terrible, but I still think this might go to 3 sets knowing Fogi.

Will see what happens with Cibulkova.

Hi – yeah turned out to be a 3 setter and went to Fognini – Cibu lost the match but strategy was successful she was broken first. Another tricky day. After 9 straight weeks of winning, the tips have hit a period of difficulty. However, we are still almost 150% up for the year to date, even with the 16% loss taken since March 1st. Every trader out there understands that this happens sometimes and we will get back to winning ways very quickly.

It’s unfortunate that I signed up for your tips at the end of February, so right as this downturn began. I am sure there will be a turnaround, I suppose I wish I signed up earlier so would have only lost profits, so it would not bother me one bit.

As a pretty successful online poker player I am used to long streaks where you either don’t cash or barely get your money back after spending hours playing multi table tournaments, some months can be frustrating but it’s all part of the game, and over thousands of tournaments I have managed to win a lot of money. Unfortunately, in online poker the best ROI you can possibly hope for is about 50%, which is what the very best MTT players have. So one needs to play hundreds of tournaments per month to make a living. It’s basically a full time job with an hourly rate lower than many would expect when one tells them they won tens of thousands playing poker. This is why this set and forget method using pre-defined entry and exit points with a stop loss is so appealing, and looking at your spreadsheet it looks like a much better way of earning an income. Even if the ROI is only 15% to 20% it seems like the hourly rate would be much higher than online poker, even if you play cash games and not MTT’s (unless you are playing cash games against really bad players for high stakes.)

Just thought I write this up since I read in one of your articles that you liked to play poker.

Jack – in my betting tips service, we had a ‘poor’ start to the year – down around 12 % in January. Too many people expect to be profiting all the time and that just cant happen!! A few quit the service and days later it hit an all time high. People are tempted to join a service when it’s at it’s peak. So it happens that those who join at that point are most likely going to experience a downturn very soon after joining. This is just the way it is.
In terms of earnings, I’d put tennis trading up there with top ROI. It’s not the most complicated way to make money. Losses can be minimised and it’s actually very interesting. On top of that, you get to watch and learn about a great sport – tennis.
Poker is a difficult way to make a living. Like many people, I tried grinding out a few quid on cash tables over a few months (before this tips service began) and although I made decent profits, the time it took to grind out that money was too much. I’ve had some success with MTT but overall I’d say I broke even over about a year of not playing very regularly.
If you have a bankroll of £500, some decent tips and a good knowledge of the players, the hourly rate on tennis trading can be ok. Build your bankroll and experience and you can make a nice living.
So a message to members – stay with the programme and keep following the tips – I have a feeling this eve will begin the turnaround…
And by the way, I still feel that 15/16% loss is not something to get anxious about – 2/3 decent days will turn it around very quickly.

Good comment about the losing runs, Patrick.
I’m coming from a football world where some months I lost 50% or even 100% of the initial bank. Of course there are 150% and 200% months and in the long term I could achieve an 500-600% ROC on yearly basis.
I like tennis trading more, because the downs are rare and not such big as in football.
Anyway my first two month with tennis trading was a lose for me because many times I didn’t exit the trade at 40% SP and lost the full stake. This was caused by my emotions. This is the hardest part of learning trading, to exit at the target SP and don’t hope the trade coming back to our way.

People have unrealistic expectations from trading services like this one.
You can increase your ROI only by trading live providing you posses good knowledge of game and movement of odds. Nobody will teach you that. If you rely on prematch trading with set guidelines this service delivers excellent results. Imo bankroll of 500 is not enough. What counts is amount not percentage. I trade with 400-500 stakes with BR of 3000. Ideally it should be 10 times of your stake. I can easily get 10% daily return of my stakes over extended period of time. So with 400 it means 40 a day which is good for me. This is an absolute minimum. If i dont see anything to trade i dont. But trading live is the key. Recommend NBA. Contrary to common belief liquidity is good for 100-200 stakes.

    Regards

Thanks for your comments guys, I appreciate the input. Yeah poker can get old really fast when you grinding every day doing the same thing over and over most of the time. At least with tennis trading every match is different and there are so many situations that you have to adapt to, I like that because it makes it more interesting to me. I have been playing tennis all my life at a fearly high level and always liked watching it, so this is great. As a tennis guy I don’t like watching women’s matches because the quality is just so much worse, although the lack of mental fortitude in WTA maches is highly amusing and good for trading I feel like I am wasting my time watching these! I don’t tune in for more than a few minutes unless maybe Ivanovic is playing,
