HOT TIPS: Haas, Berdych and Kuznetsova

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Low Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Low stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – Worth considering laying the winner (or backing the loser) of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.6, adjust your lay odds to 1.35 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.

Klizan is a real surprise, yesterday he was not the fav and today he defeated Tommy Haas 6-3 / 6-2 – great performance. Not for my bet, but for him.
Fognini great bet, no 3rd set, but no questions, the game was clear.
    Berdych won easily against Hanescu.
Same with Gimeno, no chance for him.
Kuznetsova lost on three sets – did I mention that women are unpredictable 🙂 ?

So 3/5 today, not that bad. I had another good game, Petko v Errani in the evening.

Hi Christian – 3/5 not bad. Haas was outclassed and Kuznetsova didn’t play badly overall but she choked at the end unusually for her. But it was a very unpredictable match with 15 breaks of serve. Patrick.

    Hi Patrick,

What was the rationale behind the laying Sharapova trade as advised today on TTL? I thought it seemed high risk (9-2 match wins, last meet Sharapova won in straight sets) and indeed stop loss was hit very soon..

    Thanks

    Keith

      Hi Keith
The reason behind laying Sharapova here was due to Radwanska’s good form on clay. She has beaten Kuznetsova who is playing some of her best tennis at the moment who was also a finalist in the previous clay tournament (should’ve won against Carla Suarez Navarro). Also she played extremely well against Garcia yesterday who is a very good server on this surface.
Maria is all about consistency at the moment and I felt there was value in laying her. However, this was just a one sided match and Aga was poor from the start.
However, please note this wasn’t advised to trade with big stakes as it wasn’t included in any HEAVY/HOT TIPS category.
      Regards
      Patrick

Many thanks for the above explanation, Patrick.
