AUSTRALIAN OPEN DAY 10:
1. 00:00 – Keys v Venus Williams
For me, it looks like this year could be the best opportunity for Venus to win a Grand Slam in a long long time. Prior to this tournament, Venus won the WTA Auckland beating Woznizcki in the final so the form is right there.
Now that she has knocked out Aga Radwanska, I don’t see this turning out to be a major obstacle for her.
—> Back Venus @1.77, lay @1.4
2. 03:00 – Wawrinka v Nishikori
These two had a marathon match in last year’s US Open which Nishi survived, just about. This one could be another tough to call match.
By form, Nishikori has looked amazing as he blew away Ferrer in 3 sets in his previous match and overall had tougher opponents than Wawrinka. If Garcia Lopez, the last opponent of the Swiss, had converted one of his set points in the 4th set, Wawrinka could have been knocked out as he did show fatigue.
From a physical standpoint, Nishi is the right bet even if it turns out to be a long match as he’s younger and fitter.
Suggesting to go for the Japanese to win this one in a 3 or 4 set match.

Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
