Betfair Tennis Trading Tips Sun 9th June 2013 French Open Final Day

French Open Day Final Day

Sunday’s Tips:

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change:

1. 14:00 – Nadal v Ferrer

For me, there is no chance Nadal will lose today. This could be
a 4 setter but that’s the best Ferrer can accomplish. Rafa has come
back to form after starting poorly and he looks desperate to snatch the
trophy!

Back Nadal@1.13, lay@1.05

2. 11:00 – Makarova/Vesnina v Errani/Vinci:

Can be considered for BH if there is liquidity!

Back Errani/Vinci@1.4, lay@1.15

Good luck for the finals!

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other sites – there may be small price differences – but these should not matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
If you’re unsure about what liquidity is required, see question 17 on my FAQ section at https://tennis-trading-league.com/faq/

I’m just curious to know why didn’t suggest B/H Nadal as from your comment I feel that you think that he is definitely going to win.

    • Patrick Ross Posted June 9, 2013 10:23 am

Hi Silvana. The simple reason is risk/reward ratio. I dont like using big stakes on strong favourites. In the long run, I dont find it profitable. I could trade heavy on Nadal but what if he gets injured? I mention this in my article on ‘heavy favoutites in the red zone

      Hi Zvonko,
First of all, I said it could be ‘considered for BH’. All members are aware that 1) This means I’m not overly confident and 2) Backing heavy is your choice (as it always is). If you choose to BH, you should delay trading for the first game or two. I advise this in many articles if you read them. Had you followed this advice, it would have been obvious in the first game that the strategy was wrong. I use many criteria to put the tips together, and they suggested that Errani/Vinci would be the better pairing. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn’t work out.
Since you joined my service on 28th May, I have put in 8 BH tips and 7 have been successful – thats 87.5%. Tips overall have been successful over 75% of the time. It’s only 75% due to one bad day at the start of the tournament. All low stakes matches. Overall during the French Open, the tips have been a great success and members have profited nicely.
If you use my tips along with the advice I give, you will not lose money.
If, in future, you disagree with any of my tips, as you did in this case, dont use that particular tip!! It’s too easy to say a different strategy should have been used after the event.
      I appreciate your comment,
      Patrick.

Zvonko, what a silly post you have very much let yourself down.

Firstly with the pedigree of Errani on her own, and her doubles ability i would have said the same trade, but we have to accept one very significant area of importance here……..its sport, its unpredictable, even with the very best research and strategy its not guaranteed to be a win trade.

That takes me onto banking,if its hurt you mentally i suggest you lower your staking to a level that is comfortable with a loss situation for yourself.

coming on here and slating a single trade saying that you lost heavily is not the tipsters fault,as you have clearly put way too much money on one trade…..It says that you are not willing to learn the basics and in such are willing to just rant and rave when you lose you house on one bet.

All newbies learn from such a silly post…set yourself up before you go bust with a couple of bets only in your arsenal……..the problems that betting has is very much in set up and mentality…right from the off…along with greed….be professional.

  • john knight Posted June 9, 2013 4:27 pm

Ps if the last poster followed the tips from the start of the french, and actually gave it a chance, and behaved like an adult,he would now be in profit, that more than pays the sub price, and if he really thought on to 6 months on … with reasonable staking mindset, what would be possible here.ok lots of favs picks, and the neg thinker would say thats easy, i could of picked that one….if thats your mindset then go for it, pick your own…nothing stopping anybody is there.

One bet should not break a bank and cause such rage….the rage if anywhere should be aimed at the punter placing silly amounts of there cash on one match up…….now lets all be sensible and learn.

    • Patrick Ross Posted June 9, 2013 8:22 pm

Indeed its not easy to pick winners consistently, and select the right strategies for each match. However, please not I never choose matches for my tips that have massive favourites. Now that would be taking the easy way out! Well sometimes at the end of a tourney I might because there’s only one or two matches on! I select all the matches with odds good enough to give a decent return for your money. I also spend a lot of time doing this. And that is time and effort saved for all my members. For such a small price, I give a full list of the matches worth trading each day so members wont have to. This also makes the tips very valuable. I get up at ‘stupid am’ to write the tips and post them on site so all you need to do is follow them. I think 33 cent per day is good value, and I’m sure most members appreciate that fact.
      Thanks for comments and support.
      Patrick.

You right,it’s my fault and i have to learn from it,i just got to emotional i’m sorry my comment was stupid!I am new to trading and i am still learning,i started with Betangel tool and in practice mode i was doing great, than i started for real and just cant doit the same,so i get angry and blaming everything else, stupid i know now!
Thank you Patrick for all of your time and effort to help as,and i am sorry for stupid comment from me and also thanks to John Knight for reasonable comment and make me see what i have to see.

  • john knight Posted June 11, 2013 1:05 pm

Zvonko,Can i just say that you have now promoted yourself above the 98% of punters who blame everything but themselves, so very well done,i guarantee if you stick with your renewed outlook, you will go from strength to strength.Stick with the right betting bank, and never go from protecting that bank,….without it there is no system in the world that will be of use……your post has made my day..well done.

  • john knight Posted June 11, 2013 1:22 pm

Maybe worth just doing the hot tips if you are feeling stressed at the amount of bets daily early in competitions, Believe me the law of averages will work out over a 100 matches wether you pick just mens hot tips, or just woman, or both……And possibly set up a seperat bank for the back heavy trades only.8/9 were successful over the last couple of weeks, gaining 12/20% depending on your match entry,,,so if you only do those bets and the gain was only 10%…..with one loss you are still 40% up on bank, taking a 40% loss trade out on the loss…….

  • john knight Posted June 11, 2013 5:20 pm

Patrick just a quick ask,you give certain tips as hot tips, towards the end of the french you did not, is there a reason why as i am trading these soley at the mo……many thanks jk

    • Patrick Ross Posted June 11, 2013 6:27 pm

      Hi John,
I only really do it in the early stages of a tournament because theres so many matches and members often want me to highlight the ones I’m most confident about.
Towards the end of a tournament there’s less matches and less tips. Often it’s easy to trade all matches at this stage so no need to point out the hot tips.

      Patrick.
