Betfair Tennis Trading Tips – Wimbledon Day 5 Friday 28th June

tennis
Friday’s Tips:

Welcome everyone to Day 5 of Wimbledon.

I’m going to add a few extras for Wimbledon. This would include tips to lay 3-0
Set Winners and also Handicap markets which are worth considering.

The 3-0 Set Lay tips would be displayed in short form as ‘3 LAY’
The Handicap Market would be displayed as ‘HCAP’

Take one tip at a time and focus on that for
your trades. As usual, stick to the HOT TIPS more! For the first few
days, we will follow the norm in tips, but as the second round starts,
we will have Back Heavy and some other new strategies as mentioned.

On to the tips for today…

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change:

1. 11:30 – Dimitrov v Zemlja

(I am not 100% sure of the time of this match. It is likely to be
played on Court 3 as the first match).

This match is being resumed from yesterday and it has been a brilliant
trading match if you were involved in it. Dimitrov should have won
this match easily and I feel the rain came at the right time for him.
The reason why I’m giving this tip is due to the fact that Dimitrov
odds are rather high eventhough he’s down a game in the 5th. I am
hoping when the match resumes, Dimitrov serves will be solid and hence
he should end up as the likely winner.

Back Dimitrov@1.8, lay@1.5

(Keep the stakes low here as the match is nearing its end!)

2. 12:00 – Melzer v Stakhovsky

Lay Stakhovsky@1.85, back@2.1

A possible 5 setter here. I personally would pick Melzer in 4 or 5!

Delaying and trading can be profitable!

3. 13:45 – Mannarino v Brown

Dustin Brown for me has been the real star so far in Wimbledon. Unlike
Roger who didn’t play well, Hewitt looked pretty decent so far and
Brown destroyed him. He definitely should be the favourite.

Back Brown@1.7, lay@1.5

Delay and trade here as you are very likely to get better odds!

4. 13:45 – Monaco v De Schepper

BACK HEAVY!

BH Monaco@1.4, lay@1.2

Monaco has looked pretty decent so far – it’s worth BH ing here!

3 LAYing Monaco is also a right strategy.

5. 14:00 – Gulbis v Verdasco

Lay Gulbis@1.84, back@2.2

Verdasco has been super impressive so far with his serving and
rallies. If this match looks like going to a tie-break, trade out. I
expect a few fluctuations to be there in the first set.

A very possible 5 setter and I wouldn’t be shocked if Verdasco wins it
eventually !

One of the most profitable markets of the day here…

6. 14:15 – Almagro v Janowicz

I am not really sure why Janowicz is the favourite. I wonder if there
is a bit of market manipulation here. That’s why I’m choosing to laying
Janowicz!

Lay Jano@1.84, back@2

Keep the stakes low at the start so you have time to read the players better!

7. 15:45 – Troicki v Youzhny

Troicki has improved so much in the past year that he cannot be taken
lightly these days.

However, backing Youzhny at the start maybe the better strategy.

Back Youzhny@1.65, lay@1.45

Consider 3 LAYING if either player takes a 2-0 set lead!

WTA:

8. 11:30 – Riske v Radwanska

Lay Radwanska@1.84, back@2.1

A tricky match here so keep stakes low at the start!

9. 12:30 – Cornet v Pennetta

LAY HEAVY

LH on Pennetta@1.92, back@2.2

I feel the market is likely to move early on in Cornet’s favour.

10. 12:30 – Dolonc v Flipkens

Considering the fact Dolonc blew away Jankovic, it is worth laying
Flipkens at some stage. I recommend delaying and trading this match.

It is also worth laying Flipkens immediately if she wins the first set easily.

For low stakes however, you can lay her at the start..

Lay Flipkens@1.51, back@1.75

11. 13:00 – Robson v Duque Marino

Not really sure why Robson odds are so low:

Laying her seems the right strategy:

Lay Robson@1.15, back@1.3

(Keep the stakes low early on!)

12. 13:30 – Stephens v Cetkovska

Market of the day for me!

I expect Stephens to win this ..

BACK HEAVY:

BH on Stephens@1.65, lay@1.35

13. 14:30 – Kvitova v Makarova

Back Kvitova@1.88, lay@1.55

Possible 3 setter, consider laying Makarova if she wins the first set!

14. 14:00 – Puig v Birnerova

I feel rather confident of Puig winning but I’vent seen much of
Birnerova yet. Her score stats indicate she’s played pretty decent.
Hence, back Puig but keep the stakes low.

Back Puig@1.4, lay@1.2

Summary:

BH/LH Given: Monaco, Pennetta(LH) and Stephens

HOT TIPS: Monaco, Stephens and Cornet to win!

Good luck!
