Betfair Tennis Trading Tips – Wimbledon Day 8 Tuesday 2nd July

Tuesday’s Tips:

Welcome everyone to Day 8 of Wimbledon.

I’m going to add a few extras for Wimbledon. This would include tips to lay 3-0
Set Winners and also Handicap markets which are worth considering.

The 3-0 Set Lay tips would be displayed in short form as ‘3 LAY’
The Handicap Market would be displayed as ‘HCAP’

Take one tip at a time and focus on that for
your trades. As usual, stick to the HOT TIPS more! For the first few
days, we will follow the norm in tips, but as the second round starts,
we will have Back Heavy and some other new strategies as mentioned.

On to the tips for today…

All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change:

WTA:

1. 13:00 – Radwanska v Li:

I would pick Li to win this encounter. A very likely 3 setter.

Back Li@1.7, lay@1.45

2. 13:00 – Lisicki v Kanepi

Whoever serves better will win this match. I expect Lisicki to be the
aggressor early on!

Back Lisicki@1.35, lay@1.15

Definitely consider laying Lisicki for odds below 1.1!

3. 14:15 – Kvitova v Flipkens

It’s better to back Kvitova here at the start.

Back Kvitova@1.44, lay@1.2

Consider laying Kvitova at lower odds..

4. 14:15 – Stephens v Bartoli

LAY HEAVY:

Match of the day for me as this market should offer a lot of opportunities!

Lay Bartoli@1.91, back@2.3

A very likely 3 setter so consider laying the winner of the 1st set no
matter how dominant a player maybe!

MIXED DOUBLES: (CHECK THE LIQUIDITY BEFORE YOU TRADE):

5. 11:30 – Ram/Spears v Matkowski/Peschke

Anything from 1.5 maybe good value here on Matkowski/Peschke

Back Matko/Pesch@1.5, lay@1.25

6. 12:45 – Ram/Schiavone v Melo/Huber

Anything above 1.55 on Melo/Huber is good. For the time being its
around 1.75 on them.

Back Melo/Huber@1.75, lay@1.3!

As mentioned, enter these markets with caution as Liquidity will be an issue!

My advice on 100 odds or more yesterday was spot on in the Lisicki
match. Consider giving a lay price of 1.02 at least for every match
today as its that time of the tournament where weird things might
happen.

OUTRIGHTS:

In the Women’s I had given two outrights so far. One was Kerber who
amazingly lost to Kanepi in a match she should have won. Had she won
that match, you would have been in a perfect situation now. The second
was Li Na. You should have got a price of around 40 on her when I had
tipped. The price is around 6 and today could be a tough day for her.
Hence consider trading some of it out (not the whole lot).

In the men’s I believe I’d tipped Feliciano Lopez who unfortunately
lost to Haas. However, with only Djokovic as his main opponent, now is
the right time to BACK HEAVY on Andy Murray on the outright market. It
is worth considering backing Lukas Kubot for less than 5 units as his
odds of almost 400 at this stage in the tournament seems ridiculous!

My prediction for the winners:

WOMENS: I personally feel the likely winner of this year’s Women’s are
Li Na or Kvitova. I feel Lisicki will choke in one of her matches,
possibly today to Kanepi!

MENS: Should be Djokovic v Murray final here. This is definitely
Murray’s biggest chance to win Wimbledon and we can expect a classic
final. Djokovic to edge Murray for this year!

Good luck for today!

Some folks have asked why I call the tips ‘Betfair Tennis Trading Tips’ and have asked if the tips can be used on other betting exchanges. I use Betfair for all my trading because Betfair has the best liquidity. All of my prices are taken from Betfair.
Betfair Tennis Trading gives you the best opportunities to make profits. You can use the trading tips on other sites – there may be small price differences – but these should not matter. If you decide to use a site other that Betfair for trading, make sure that the liquidity is there.
If you’re unsure about what liquidity is required, see question 17 on my FAQ section at https://tennis-trading-league.com/faq/

Hi Patrick, I think I learned my lesson yesterday by ignoring your advice. You constantly tell us to trade out or green out and I just let the trade run and lost all of my money. What happen was that I B/H Serena yesterday at around 1.6 I think, after she lost the first set. She won second set easily and broke Lisicki in 3rd set. At that point odds on Serena were bellow 1.1. Instead of greening out and making a large profit I just let the trade run as I was convinced that Serena was going to win. That was such bad decision.

You said it all!! But I’d say you weren’t the only one!! Good luck in future…

    Silvana hi,
Can i just say that trading is probably one of the hardest ways to try and profit from sport for one reason……your own mentality.Generally punters as they call themselves want gains on every trade, and also want as close to 100% on all profitable trades,if thats the case you have to take the other side of the coin and accept 100% losses, and it then becomes a hit and hope betting scenario.
Most profitable traders and bettors have lost a bank or two before they then went on to become long term profitiers on sports.

So now you have gotten this bad experience out the way you now know what to do……go for it…

I have to say I agree with John here. Trading can be very much a mental game. You need to be consistent and disciplined. Early in your trading career you might lose money because you let trades run or for other reasons. What makes a trader is his ability to learn and not keep making the same mistakes. Use my tips, read my articles, learn from your mistakes, and take the advice of traders like John and you will have a long and profitable career.
