Open de France/Zagreb/VTR Open – Tips/Strategies : 9/2/2013

Open de France:

1. Gasquet vs Nieminen:

Gasquet for me to win this. He again blew me away with some of his
shots yesterday.

The 1.25 maybe free money on him. Hence simple strategy. Back him
heavy and lay him around 1.08 or even less.

2. Llodra vs Paire

Paire I predicted would do well yesterday eventhough I expected Simon
to go through. He held on to win however in a tightly fought match.
His serve was keeping alive pretty much.

However Llodra is on a different level at the moment. His serve is
almost impossible to break unless you are Djokovic or Murray! Hence,
Llodra for me to win this one. 1.56 on him for me could be free money
again. Strategy to be applied is same as above. Back heavy at 1.56 and
lay around 1.2!

Zagreb Indoors:

1. Cilic v Youzhny:

I expected Youzhny to be in a tough spot yesterday as Dodig I felt
would play well. He pretty much thrashed him! His serve was fine, his
backhand was amazing. If he plays like that today, Cilic will have
trouble.

You can lay Cilic at the start but not too heavy! This match may go in
Youzhny’s favour.

Hence lay Cilic at 1.63 for around 30 units. Back price can be in the
1.8 range as that’s more safe and likely!

2. Haase vs Melzer:

If Haase is to win this, I think he will need 3 sets. Melzer however
may win this in 2!

Hence backing Melzer maybe the better and less riskier
strategy.However if the odds go too low on Melzer lay him no matter
what. I have been in some eye-brow raising matches that has involved
Melzer before where he has completely blown away matches from winning
situations.

VTR Open:

1. Berlocq vs Zeballos:

Well done to all those who took on Zeballos yesterday as my tip. Like
I predicted his serve would be more consistent which was in the end.
This could be a tough match for him keeping in mind Berlocq got a day
off yesterday as his opponent withdrew before the match. Zeba however
had a gruelling 3 set to get through Albert Ramos.

Hence backing Berlocq at the start maybe good but don’t back heavy.
Safer strategy would be  to wait out the first set. If Berlocq wins it
too easy don’t lay him. If Zeballos wins it you can lay Zeba. Either
way backing Belocq for 1.65 at the start maybe good to earn a few quid
at the start. Do not go heavy in the first set in this match. It could
get you into trouble!

2. Nadal vs Chardy:

Odds on Rafa are 1.13. That is actually extremely high for a player
like him especially on clay. Give credit to Chardy he has played
pretty good so far but I don’t give him a chance against Rafa. Rafa
may even lose a set here but I don’t think he can lose the match!

If Rafa gets broken first immediately back him heavy here! If Chardy
gets broken however, that could be pretty much Game Set and Match!
