US OPEN
WOMEN:
1. 16:00 – Lepchenko v Azarenka
Understandable that Aza is a heavy favourite against the home player Lepchenko whom she has beaten twice already.
However, a closer look at Lepchenko’s opponents prior to this match give an indication as to why this might not be as straightforward as it may seem. Putting it simply, beating Tsurenko and Barthel was no easy task as both of them are aggressive players. And since Aza’s serves have an element of inconsistency, Lepchenko may very well get a few opportunities early on. Bear in mind, the last match these two played each other, Lepchenko had a 4-0 lead in the 1st set only to lose it on a tie-break. In front of her home crowd, there is more reason to believe she is going to perform well and not choke that easily.
Suggesting to lay Aza here at the start therefore..
—> Lay Aza @1.14, Back @1.45
2. 19:45 – Stosur v Pennetta —> NO STOP LOSS RECOMMENDED
A tough to call match on paper as both are pretty good hard court players and it may very well go to a deciding set.
Inclining towards Sam Stosur for the start of the match, as she possesses the stronger serve.
—> Lay Pennetta @1.81, Back @2.6
3. 00:00 – Kvitova v Konta —> HOT TIP
Petra Kvitova looks in the zone for this year’s US Open after another scintillating performance against the very talented Schmiedlova. She won the match with a 6-2 6-1 scoreline.
Go for Kvitova who may be the only genuine challenge left for Serena in this tournament.
—> Back Kvitova @1.22, Lay @1.05
Good luck!

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
