  As for Nadal match if the odds at the start were 1.18 you lost max 1.8 units. I have not traded this match but i dont think that the odds were higher than 1.2 on Nadal…
  Anyway for the sake of statistics….

    The odds of Nadal were around 1.18 and the stop loss would have been hit @1.1 which unfortunately did happen early on, eventhough I must say, Dolgopolov actually played really well.
    The reason of laying Nadal on Clay (which I rarely tip) was that he had some major injury concern in the previous match against Andujar. Under normal circumstances, Nadal odds wouldn’t have gone beyond 1.1 at the start but Betfair traders understand that injury coming into play can have serious consequences so the price was around 1.2 which I agree with.
    All unsuccessful matches by default, are put at the stop loss of -40% or in this case -4 units for a 10 unit stake. If you are not sure about the Stop Losses for 40%, please refer to the STOP LOSS article below:

  I dont question the reason of laying Nadal. Just if i lay somebody at 1.18 and he wins a match my loss would be 18% of my stake and of course Nadal won this match. Am i missing something here? So the loss here would not be 4 units for 10 units stake…Can you explain please how you arrived at stop loss @1.1 in this match?

    Hi Matthew
    All lay stakes have a liability of 10 units. This means the lay stake here is 55 units approximately to get a liability of 10 units on lay odds of 1.18. keep an eye out for LAY matches as those are the very profitable ones!
    All losses are calculated as 4 units by default since ‘40%’ is the stop loss advised.
