Tennis Trading Tips Stats 29th August US Open Day 4

Overall: 11 / 14 Successful

A brilliant day overall and the only BH considered, Hantuchova was
spot on!

Hot tips : 3 / 4 Successful

1. Beck/Puig v Mirza/Zheng: Successful

2. Bouchard v Kerber: Successful

3. Cornet v Tomljanovic: Successful

4. Glushko v Vickery: Successful (This was suggested for BH however
you shouldn’t have BH’ed as there was no live stream here..Still, the
strategy was spot on as Glushko indeed won in 2 sets)

5. Hantuchova v Duval: (BH): Successful (Delaying should have got you
better odds. After getting broken first, this match was all one-way
traffic in Hantuchova’s direction!)

6. Jankovic v Kleybanova: Successful

7. Kuznetsova v Peng: Successful (I did predict this could be one of
the matches of the day and indeed it was!)

8. Makarova v Mattek Sands: Unsuccessful

9. Riske v Barthel: Successful

10. Vesnina v Knapp: Unsuccessful

11. Nara v Cirstea: Unsuccessful (The biggest upset of today! Cirstea
definitely had some injury issues today, possibly resulting from her
previous marathon match against Sharon Fichman!)

12. Rufin v Tursunov: Successful (This can be considered successful as
the retirement happened in the second set after the strategy was spot
on, earlier in the 1st)

13. Tomic v Evans: Successful (I am going to make this successful as
this was a low stakes match. Evans completely deserved the win here!!)

14. Isner v Monfils: Successful

The only disappointment was really the shock upset of Cirstea which
very likely was due to injury!

Good luck for Day 5!

Did not have so much time yesterday. Choosed Cirstea and such a choice. Thought Cirstea would make a comeback in 2nd set and upps! she blew my money away. Crap 🙂

Red out if they loose the first set right? Is that a good strategy?

      Hi Leif,
I always recommend that you have an exit strategy for every match. It’s a fair assumption to think that someone of Cirstea’s quality would come back in to the match at some stage but it just didn’t happen. I would definitely trade out after the first set. In many cases, I wouldn’t trade out after just one break, when there’s a big favourite involved, but I would trade out if she loses the first set or gets broken or close to broken a second time (eg if she went 0-30 down on her next service game). I recommend losses of no more than 40% in any match. If it reaches this, you should be trading out.
      Patrick.
