The big news from yesterday’s matches was Zverev losing to Kyrgios 6-3, 6-4. A dominant scoreline it seems. But Kyrgios definitely didn’t have it all his own way.

Zverev had his chances in both sets but was unable to take them. In retrospect, after Kyrgios got past Nadal and Wawrinka, it seemed destiny was on his side. Zverev had the easier draw and looked imperious. Now it seems he could have done with a couple of stronger opponents before playing a confident and defiant Nick Kyrgios.
