FRENCH OPEN MENS FINAL:

1. 14:00 – Wawrinka v Nadal

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to predict Nadal winning his side of the draw and being in this year’s Final at Paris.

Already reaching the final in Australia earlier this year and playing consistent Tennis throughout, Nadal has had a superb season already. But this match is on Clay which is Rafa’s favourite surface and he is aiming for an incredible 10th Roland Garros title (ridiculous!) which makes this match one of the most important in his career. With no sets lost so far the past 2 weeks, he is the right (red hot) favourite.

Stan may win a set today but bookies have priced Nadal winning in 3 sets at slightly above 2.0. In summary, Nadal winning in straightforward fashion looks the most possible outcome and therefore sticking to him at the start looks the right strategy…

Stick with the KING OF CLAY at the start..

EXTRA ADVICE:

Back in 2015 at the French, Stan Wawrinka beat an unbeatable looking Djokovic (who had beaten Nadal in straight sets earlier) in the French Open final after losing the first set. Indeed Djokovic is not the greatest on Clay but if Stan serves well and stays mentally focused, he has a tiny chance to cause a massive upset.
With that in mind, laying Nadal at very low odds of 1.02 or 1.03 is a good strategy in my opinion. But do keep the stakes to a minimum..

DAY 15 – Jun 11th: ( +0.5 units)

Just a small profit on the day as Nadal completely dominated proceedings. For the potential profit involved I still believe it was worth the risk. A great French Open overall with 35 points profit made (£700 to £20 stakes). Not bad.
