FRENCH OPEN DAY 10:
WOMEN:
1. 13:00 – Ivanovic v Svitolina
On paper, there is only one genuine threat now for Serena Williams, and that is through the former French Open winner, Ana Ivanovic.
Even though Ana had to play some 3 setters in this tournament, she has managed to dominate the deciding sets.
With a ton of experience in her profile, I choose to back the Serbian here..
—> Back Ivanovic @1.43, lay @1.2
MENS:
2. 14:30 – Nishikori v Tsonga
Nishikori should definitely be the favourite here but I feel the odds are a bit too low considering Tsonga dominated his match against Berdych.
Suggesting to lay Nishi here as Tsonga has historically done well at French.
—> Lay Nishi @1.33, back @1.75
3. 14:30 – Wawrinka v Federer —> HOT TIP
Stan Wawrinka’s last win over Roger was at the 2014 Monte Carlo Open. Since then, Federer beat him 4 times which includes the recent Clay court win at Rome.
Having already tipped Federer doing well this year at Roland Garros, I am going to stick to that prediction and say he will come out of this one as the winner.
—> Back Federer @1.5, lay @1.2
Good luck!
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
