All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

BNP PARIBAS:

MEN:

1. 18:00 – Chardy v Young

I was pretty impressed with Young’s display over Busta in his earlier match. Prefer going for the American who is really oozing with confidence at the moment.

—> Back Young @1.9, lay @1.35

2. 18:00 – Dolgopolov v Giraldo

After a disappointing Australian Open, Dolgo looked pretty decent at Delray Beach and Acapulco. If this guy comes back to his past form, he is always a tough player to beat for anyone. I am going to trust the odds here and go for the more natural hard courter in the Ukranian.

—> Back Dolgo @1.27, lay @1.1

3. 19:30 – Raonic v Bolelli –> HOT TIP

Bolelli shocked Raonic recently at Marseille. However, Milos has improved his game in the last year or so and is much more aggressive at the moment.

I am suggesting to back the Canadian here – two consecutive losses to the Italian is pretty improbable!

—> Back Raonic @1.27, lay @1.1

WOMEN:

4. 18:00 – Watson v Radwanska

From what I’ve seen in her first two matches, Heather seem to be at ease on these courts at Indian Wells. Radwa is the right favourite here, but I wonder if the odds are too low on the Pole especially with the Brit serving pretty well at the moment.

I feel there could be a jump in the odds early on, so suggesting to lay Aga at the start.

—> Lay Radwa @1.17, back @1.45

Keep the stakes to low or medium here!

5. 19:30 – Bacsinszky v Makarova

Suggesting to lay the Russian simply for the reason that Bacsinszky has been on fire at the moment.

Again, keep the stakes low here as Makarova is no easy opponent!

—> Lay Makarova @1.6, back @1.95

6. 19:45 – Muguruza v Pliskova –> HOT TIP

Mugu had a tough match against Falconi in the last round, however, I am definitely inclined to backing her on these defence oriented courts against the Czech Pliskova as she is the better all-round player.

—> Back Mugu @1.75, lay @1.35

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.
