Betfair Tennis Trading Tips ATP/WTA Wednesday 7th August 2013

ALL TIMES ARE UK/IRISH AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE…

ROGERS CUP ATP:

1. 17:00 – Gulbis v Fognini

I think Fognini will definitely test Gulbis..

Lay Gulbis@1.6, back@1.85

2. 17:00 – Pospisil v Stepanek

Pospisil may do pretty well in this tournament and beating Isner is no
easy task. Therefore, he has a pretty decent chance to upset Radek
here!

Lay Radek Stepanek@1.65, back@1.9

3. 18:00 – Paire v Wawrinka

Possibly one of the markets of the day..I predict a 3 setter here..

If Wawrinka wins the first set, immediately lay him. However I expect
Paire to win the first and win the match in a tight 3 setter.

Lay Wawa@1.52, back@1.7

Keep the stakes low while trading the first set..

ROGERS WTA:

4. 16:00 – Barthel v Stephens

I see Stephens winning this!

Back Stephens@1.57, lay @1.25

5. 17:15 – Makarova v Vinci

Back Vinci@1.72, lay@1.4

6. 18:30 – Lepchenko v Rybarikova

I think Rybarikova will show signs of tiredness after her recent
tournament. It’s definitely worth favouring Lepchenko here as
she has played well recently!

Back Lepchenko@1.85, lay@1.5

7. 19:45 – Cirstea v Wozniacki

By form Wozniacki has been pretty much off the radar recently. Cirstea
on the other hand has looked pretty good, so go for her at the
start..

Lay Wozniacki@1.64, back@1.9

8. 20:00 – Zakopalova v Errani

This is a tough encounter and for me if Errani is to win, it will take
her 3 sets. I don’t see a comfortable win for her.

Lay Errani@1.44, back@1.7

Keep the stakes low here as there are risks involved.. Also note, if
Zakopalova wins the first set, go in favour of Errani straight away!

HOT TIP: Stephens! I am rather confident on Stephens winning and I
feel odds of 1.57 maybe rather high…

There is one problem with the tips. We have only live tv coverage in 3 out of 8 tips. Im sensitive to this subject because of injury issues etc… Maybe im bit biased here because i live now in the 3rd world country with lots of connection issues (Philippines) but i rarely bet on tennis events with no live coverage. In last 2 months i remember at least half of dozen matches with injury issues.
As to injuries Wawrinka is coming of one so im not so sure about his next match but Jano prevailed after his injury and you were unfortunate in his tip to back him up for the change. But lets face it – its tough to guess the winner and even tougher to predict a development in few games. Hold of a serve coupled with usually few break points constitute roughly 20% of change of odds at least at the beginning of the match. Thats the average range of the tips. And especially in women matches we have plenty of breaks of serve. WTA for me – rather not…
Only if 5-3 and serving for the match hehe. Thats the essence of trading for me – you only enter certain events at the point of time that you comfortable with and in the long run you feel that you can gain advantage. But there is a temptation to guess right at the final tiebreak and earn 20% or more at one ball . Pospisil Isner match last nite provided this thrill. From 2-1 we go to 2-4 and then Pospisil wins the next 5 balls against Isner and a whole match. I was wrong about Canadians – they did not choke in 1st round but they will choke 2nite.

    Good luck
