FRENCH OPEN DAY 4:
WOMEN:
1. 13:30 – Jovanovski v Vekic
One of the biggest shocks for me was home favourite Caroline Garcia’s defeat to Vekic. I must admit I didn’t see that coming after she showed some great form on Clay this season.
I am going to give Vekic a lot of credit for that win and suggest to lay Jovanovski here..
—> Lay Jovanovski @1.55, back @1.9
2. 14:00 – Muguruza v Giorgi
Interesting that Giorgi leads 2-0 against Mugu, one of those matches being on Clay. While I think both looked good in the previous match and that Mugu should be the favourite, I am not quite sure if she is going to win this match convincingly.
Suggesting to lay Mugu here as I feel the start could be pretty tricky for the Spaniard.
—> Lay Mugu @1.38, back @1.65
3. 15:30 – Pereira v Makarova
I can understand why Makarova is priced this high against a highly talented Pereira.
However, I am choosing to go for the Russian as she has a huge amount of experience in Grand Slams.
—> Back Makarova @1.66, lay @1.25
MENS:
4. 11:30 – Monaco v Gabashvili
Monaco had a tough outing in his first match against Delbonis which went the distance while Gabashvili blew away an experienced Feliciano Lopez in 3 sets.
This could be another tricky affair for the Argentinian Monaco.
—> Lay Monaco @1.42, back @1.8
5. 13:30 – Fognini v Paire
Definitely suggesting to back Fognini at the start, however consider a possible comeback from Paire as this may turn out to be a moneymaking market.
Worth considering giving lay prices of 1.01 and 1.02 in advance once you green out (assuming Fognini starts better) as when it comes to choking, Fognini is a master!
—> Back Fognini @1.3, lay @1.16
Good luck!

Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
