PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW
AUSTRALIAN OPEN DAY 2:
WOMENS:
1. 00:00 – Barthel v King
Serve and aggression favour the German Mona Barthel who played pretty well at Hobart beating the likes of Doi and Naomi Osaka.
Back the favourite at the start..
—> Back Barthel @1.51, Lay @1.24
2. 06:00 – Crawford v Kovinic
Kovinic has a very decent serve and generally plays with quite an attacking mindset. I feel the first set could see a bit of drama.
Suggesting to lay Crawford at the beginning but keep the stakes low.
—> Lay Crawford @1.65, Back @2.4
MENS:
3. 00:00 – Muller v Fognini
Simply put, Gilles Muller has the better serve. Since there is no way to know which Fognini will turn up on any day, I prefer backing the favourite here..
—> Back Muller @1.85, Lay @1.44
4. 08:00 – Hewitt v Duckworth
Battle of the home favourites here.
While Duckworth does have some decent weapons in his game, experience heavily favouring Lleyton Hewitt.
Stick to the favourite at the start..
—> Back Hewitt @1.56, Lay @1.3
((( NO HOT TIPS TODAY SO DO KEEP THE STAKES LOW IN GENERAL )))
Good Luck!
Some Terms Explained:
Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank with Stop loss at 40%.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade. Use Stop Loss at 40% unless stated otherwise.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank with Stop Loss at 40%.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade. Use Stop Loss at 40% unless stated otherwise.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.
No Stop Loss Suggested – Use of Stop Loss is not recommended for this tip. Use half Normal Stake.
Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake, when stop loss is used
All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.
Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely. Please read the relevant article below.
