All times are UK/Irish and are subject to change, and all times are in 24hr format e.g., 01.00 = 1am and 16:00 = 4pm:

PLEASE NOTE, IF THERE ARE LIQUIDITY ISSUES, ALWAYS KEEP THE STAKES LOW

WTA NOTTINGHAM:

1. 11:00 – Doi v McHale

Doi’s form is pretty impressive having a good run at Nurnberg and only losing to Ivanovic at the French Open in 3 sets. With an earlier dominant performance against Monica Puig, I feel McHale will have to fight hard to win today.

—> Lay McHale @1.95, back @2.5

2. 12:30 – Strycova v Hradecka

Strycova leads 2-0 in head to head stats against her compatriot Hradecka. Also, she is definitely the more impressive player on Grass courts. Go for her at the start!

—> Back Strycova @1.45, lay @1.18

3. 14:00 – Krunic v Kuznetsova

I was extremely impressed with how Krunic played against Heather Watson in her earlier match. With Kuznetsova known for her inconsistency these days, I’m suggesting to go for the underdog here as this could be an upset!

—> Lay Kuznetsova @1.41, back @1.9

4. 14:00 – Lisicki v Bencic

Bencic has already played a tournament on Grass in Netherlands while this is going to be Lisicki’s first. With Bencic showing a lot of consistency in the past week or so, I’d rather lay Lisicki here..

—> Lay Lisicki @1.72, back @2.5

ATP QUEENS (AEGON CHAMPIONSHIPS):

5. 14:15 – Anderson v Wawrinka –> HOT TIP

No sign of wear and tear in Wawrinka’s game after the French Open against Kyrgios yesterday. On the contrary, Anderson should have lost his match against Hewitt. This time the South African won’t have much luck against a brutal attacking player like Stan the Man!

–> Back Wawrinka @1.38, lay @1.12

6. 17:45 – Dolgopolov v Garcia Lopez

Dolgo could have beaten Nadal in 2 sets yesterday. To win the 3rd set after going down a break was really something special for the young Ukranian.

I’m with the bookies here as if he serves as well as he did yesterday, Dolgo can indeed wrap this up in 2 quick sets!

—> Back Dolgo @1.57, lay @1.25

ATP HALLE:

7. 11:00 – Florian Mayer v Johnson

While I agree Johnson should be the favourite, especially after his comfortable win over Tomic, I don’t think Mayer should be such a big underdog. Truth is Florian is vastly experienced and did beat a very tough Struff in his first round match.

Overall, I see this being a tough match for the American Johnson.

—> Lay Johnson @1.46, back @2

8. 12:45 – A.Zverev v Karlovic

No doubt Karlo is one of the toughest servers out there on Grass courts. However, Zverev has been just more than good on Grass so far, only losing to finalist Troicki in Stuttgart and beating Nieminen in 2 sets here in Halle.

If he can hold on to his serves, Zverev will end up being a big threat for the big Croat.

—> Lay Karlovic @1.42, back @1.9

Good luck!

Some Terms Explained:

Back: Normal Stakes – use 10% of bank.
Back Heavy(BH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Lay: Normal stakes – use 10% of bank.
Lay Heavy(LH) – use up to 30% of bank. Used at members discretion. Delay and Trade.
Likely 3 Setter – consider laying the winner of the first set.
Hot Tip – I have more confidence in these tips. However, use normal stake sizes.

Tips are deemed unsuccessful at 40% loss of stake.

All odds shown with the tips are correct at time of publishing. Odds are often given several hours ahead of the event. If odds have changed, adjust your back/lay stake accordingly e.g. if I tip ‘Back at 1.5, Lay at 1.25’ – and back odds move to 1.55, adjust your lay odds to 1.3 – there are still 25 ticks between the back and lay odds.

Delay and Trade!! It’s OK to place your trades before the match starts, but in my opinion, waiting 2/3 games before placing your trades is the safest way to trade. This is advised in many of the articles below. To delay and trade will give you a good feel for the match. Delay and Trade is a MUST if you are Backing Heavy. Delaying is advised mostly for the women’s game, as early breaks of serve are more likely.  Please read the relevant article below.
